Sign up for TRIO and party with ESOL

Well ysterday I did get to have my Zzzzzz sleep, as I went home early and had a little hour! Being back at work and really busy after a few weeks off must be catching up with me. Got to work via a car crash this morning - hopefully no one was hurt - I missed most of what happened, but a mini bus crashed into a rover and the road was blocked with a couple of ambulances and about 6 police cars.
Straight in to concentration mode with the University's TRIO taster session at the ARC, which was an hour session to get you enthused about signing up for a year's online course, to learn all about the variety of online communications available such as yahoo chat, blogging, pod casting, wiki's, MSN and so on. So I was enthused by the thought of having an NVQ level 4 equivilant by the end of it, so this all kicks off on June 8th!
Then after lunch it was party time with the ESOL class who didnt really appear in party mode, we sat around chatting and sampled some lovely sweet cakes made by the students from far and wide. They were all pleased to hear of the extra ESOL provision that is being put on for them between now and the summer by Swansea College. So there will now be 4 lessons a week for to learn English (English for Speakers of Other Languages.

ESOL Timetable:
Monday 9:30 - 11:30
Tuesday 9:30 - 11:30
Tuesday 1:00 - 3:00 (with childcare)
Thursday 10 - 12 (with childcare)

Then following that i was busy preparing papers for tomorrows ADULT LEARNERS WEEK event and tried to decifer the University timetable for September 07 - this needs a bit of tweaking to say the least ...lol:) All in all quite a productive day!
