Adult Learners Week

Today was a great day as we had Phil Westcott bring a group of students from Spark around the estate, ending up with us at the ARC, to promote adult learners week and to see whats on. First Owen and Claire showed 3 digital stories and explained how funa dn easy they are to put them together, followed by a chat from Anthony - the communities first co-ordinator, to talk about how residents can get involved in the work of the Trust as this is THEIR community and can have a say on what goes on. I had lists of courses available in September and we had a comments board up for people to write what they liked. We had some brilliant comments and suggestions such as: I want to be a tree, typing classes, driving test theory, more advanced level courses, blogging and even a comment of a 4 yr old asking for toys to play with!!
This was all washed down with delicious cream cakes, tea, coffee, biscuits and juice and along with the Spark visitors there were also other local residents and students - about 40 in total - it went well.
