Community Progression

Myself and the Digital Community Network team attended the University of Wales, Swansea's Community Progression Meeting today, which discusses curriculum development for free courses throughout a wide range of communities across South Wales.
The DCN team intorduced themselves and gave an overview of what the project is about and promoted the technology fairs that are soon to follow, and promoted PC surgery that is on every week in our partner centres. The digital outreach workers, Claire and Owen will also be helping the community progression team gather video footage for evaluating the project as its due to end in June 08.
Community Progression provide free courses and currently at the ARC we have the Foundation in Information Technology course (FIT) and in January 08 we will be starting with the Personnel module of the HE in Business Studies. This will be 7 weeks every Friday from 9:30 - 12:30 - any one interested contact Debbie Jones on 01792 578632.
